Weresource Rules and Terms of Service

We have a set of rules in place that each member is required to follow. These rules have been established to preserve a neutral landscape for members of the therianthropic community to be able to interact and converse. If you are found to be in violation of these rules, you will be notified by a staffmember and appropriate steps will be taken. We thank you in advance for your cooperation, and we hope that you find Weresource a good resource.

1. Initating an account
1. By signing up for an account at Weresource, you agree to all terms and conditions in these Rules and Terms of Service. You must be at least 13 years of age (sorry, at this time no exceptions can be made) to join and post in the forums or write a peer-reviewed essay; minors will not be allowed to post in any adult sections of the site, including any forums sections deemed adult.
2. If you wish to post on our forums, you are required to post an introduction of yourself, which will involve answering a set series of questions. These may include your reasons for wishing to join the site, your therianthropic side, your reasons for these beliefs, and similar associated questions. These questions are required to be answered for you to gain access to the rest of the forums. Until you complete these questions, you will not see the other forum areas or topics. This serves to ensure you intend to post appropriately, follow the rest of the forum rules, as well as an aid for any questions you may have regarding yourself or therianthropy.
2. Intention of This Service
1. The Weresource is intended as a tool for therians and otherkin. This is not a roleplaying site, and as such, references to yourself or others are to be real life and your beliefs only. Please look elsewhere if it is your intent to roleplay. There are a myriad of sites on the web if you wish to roleplay, but this is not one of them. As such, members that continue to roleplay will be subject to appropriate action by Weresource staff, which in severe circumstances includes account deletion/banishment. While the staff of Weresource do not object to roleplaying, this is not a venue for such activities.
3. Continuity of Use of this Service
1. Account continuity is assured by registration with a correct and valid email address. This is how we confirm your account and may need to contact you in the event of an issue. Please provide a valid email address. Failure to do so may result in account suspension or deletion. This is another means of verification of your willingness to follow Weresource rules.
2. You are required to provide Weresource with your correct date of birth. This serves as an age verification as well as helps others know how old you are. This thus is for the protection of individuals under 18 years of age as well as for the staff of Weresource. Failure to provide your correct age is grounds for immediate account deletion. If you provide Weresource with an inaccurate date of birth, you (or your parent/guardian) relinquish any ability to protect yourself in the event of an age-related issue. Due to the sensitive nature of this site, we cannot make any exceptions for anyone with regards to this rule. Further, Weresource and its staff cannot be liable for any issues arising from activities of other Weresource members. This is an open community and you agree to sole responsibility and liability.
4. Expectations of You as a User
1. Maturity is a key player in the success of this type of community. Therefore, as a member of Weresource, you will be required to show consideration for your fellow members, refrain from character assassination or demeaning other members as well as any other individual, member or not, and otherwise show common courtesy. This includes any portion of Weresource, public or private, and evidence of the contrary are grounds for staff intervention. You do not have to agree with everything someone else says, but you do have to treat them with tolerance and maturity. We the staff of Weresource do not endorse the opinions of any other member of the forums, essays, or news sources.
2. Civility and language usage. As a member of this site you will and are expected to refrain from excessive foul language. Name-calling is expressively prohibited as is any other language that might be found offensive.
5. Types of Discussions Herein via usage of this Service
1. Adult topics and discussions are to be limited to the appropriate adult section. This is for the protection of minors that may belong to this community. Please refrain from adult conversations in the main forums. We cannot tolerate pornography or artistic nudes, sexual discussions, or any other adult topics or pictures outside of the designated adult section. That being said, we are on a trial basis providing the adult section. This will only be open to individuals 18 and older. This is one of the reasons why we insist you provide a valid date of birth. We cannot be held responsible, personally, or in a group, for issues arising from this section, age-related or otherwise. We reserve the right to close the adult section if we feel it is being abused. This is not for sexual role-play or making sexual comments about another member/individual. This section is designed for serious adult discussions, such as questions about sexuality arising from therianthropy. This section is to be used entirely at your own risk.
2. Accuracy is a key part of this site. Please remember to comment or post in a truthful manner. Do not provide made-up information as it will not help you or anyone else. It will also not further your invitation onto this site. Providing false information, especially about yourself is grounds for immediate action on the part of Weresource staff.
3. We must insist all activities on this site are legal in the locale of where Weresource is hosted, maintained, and used. Illegal use of this site will result in your immediate dismissal and does not preclude you from legal action by members of this site or its owners. Violation of applicable local and international laws can be a very serious issue, so be mindful of the laws that govern you. You take sole legal responsibility for your own actions on (as well as off of) this site. All arbitration will be conducted under the auspices and laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
6. Limitations of This Service
1. Weresource limits each user to a single username. If you need your username changed, you need to contact staff, and it will only be granted in rare circumstances. Multiple accounts or use of someone else's account are prohibited.
2. As this site is moderated, inappropriate comments may be deleted. Please be mindful that you are using a forum which commands you follow the rules above. We will only provide this moderation where we deem it necessary and find violations, but we may miss some. So, you agree by joining to be mindful of both of these circumstances.
3. Minors, those under the age of 18, and any visitors acknowledge that exposure to mature content is limited by site administration. We make NO warranty or promise that mature content can be kept out of view of those who should not, and legally CANNOT be exposed to it.
